Motor soft starter alarm overheating fault
Motor soft starter alarm overheating fault
Why does the soft starter have overheat protection, because it is not only necessary to protect the thyristor, but also to protect the motor. The design consideration is better. Even after the start is completed, it can still complete the protection of the motor when switching to the contactor circuit, that is, the main circuit has 3 input circuits. Line end, 6 outgoing lines, the outgoing line to the bypass contactor first passes through the transformer in the soft starter, and the protection device in the soft starter will detect the current passing through the contactor after the bypass to complete the protection of the motor .
1) Reason: frequent starting, resulting in overheating and overheating protection action of the soft starter.
To solve this problem, it is necessary to control the starting times of the soft starter to no more than 6 times per hour, especially for heavy loads.
2) During the starting process, the protective element acts, so that the contactor cannot be bypassed, and the soft starter works for a long time, causing the protective action.
To solve this problem, you need to check the peripheral circuit.
3) If the load is too heavy, the starting time is too long, and the overheating protection is activated. To solve this problem, reduce the load as much as possible when starting.
4) The parameter setting of the soft starter is unreasonable. If the time is too long, the initial voltage is too low.
To solve this problem, the starting voltage needs to be increased
5) The cooling fan of the soft starter is damaged and cannot work normally.
To fix this, the fan needs to be replaced.
